Almora: Police arrested a man, 40, for allegedly kidnapping and raping his 13-year-old niece for 4-5 days. Cops have rescued the survivor, a resident of Almora, from the accused’s house. According to police, the girl’s family filed a missing person complaint after she didn’t return from school.
During the investigation, police traced her to her maternal uncle’s house with the help of call records. After a medical examination, the girl was sent back with her family. An FIR was registered under relevant sections of the IPC and the Pocso Act.
